Dazzling New Pedicure Thrones Utilize Color Therapy at Spa of the Rockies

Feet never had it so good! Soak your tootsies in a warm footbath that glows in a vivid array of colors.

Clients are immersed in luxury when they lounge in the unique new pedicure thrones at Spa of the Rockies at Glenwood Hot Springs. Jetted hydrotherapy basins contain color-changing LED lights that are sure to elevate your mood. The color of the bowl can remain constant or rotate several illuminating hues. “This adds a little extra pizazz to any pedicure,” says spa director David Erlich. “It’s a sensory experience.”

Think of it as chromotherapy, or color therapy, which uses light in the form of color to balance energy levels, whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.

All this can be accomplished in comfortable ergonomic chairs that are equipped with heat and massage systems. You control the settings. The chairs sit atop contemporary flooring, recently upgraded throughout the nail salon.

Many guests select the Signature Mineral Pedicure for a full hour of pampering. The treatment begins with an aromatherapy foot soak followed by a mineral salt exfoliation. Then, soothing mineral gel is massaged into the feet and lower legs. Next is a foot wrap. The spa uses PerfectSense® Paraffin, an exclusive blend infused with the finest nourishing, detoxifying and hydrating skincare ingredients. Individual slipper pouches are heated and placed on each foot. Now, lay back and relax with a glass of complimentary Prosecco or non-alcoholic sparkling wine. The most difficult decision you have to make is what color nail polish to select.
