All Aboard for Glenwood Hot Springs Resort

Ride the rails aboard Amtrak's California Zephyr to your favorite Colorado hot springs destination—Glenwood Hot Springs Resort.

Enjoy the journey between Denver and Glenwood Springs aboard Amtrak. Train travel is convenient, affordable and, best of all, a traffic-free alternative to driving. Daily stops make it easy to plan either weekday or weekend trips to the world-famous hot springs pool in Glenwood Springs.

Laid Back Fall Foliage Viewing

With autumn just around the bend, now is the perfect time of year to relax and enjoy Colorado fall colors at their peak. Amtrak’s viewing car, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers breathtaking vistas from start to stop. Grab a seat and watch as magnificent scenery rolls by mile after mile. Trip highlights from Denver include the 6.2-mile-long Moffat Tunnel, Winter Park Ski Area, Fraser Canyon, Granby near Rocky Mountain National Park, Gore Canyon and the 12.5 miles through spectacular Glenwood Canyon. You get to experience all of this—before you even arrive in Glenwood Springs!

All the Perks: Shuttle Service & Lodging

When you book your accommodations at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge, we’ll note your arrival time and our Hot Springs Hopper will meet you there to give you a lift. At your departure time, we’ll do the same. In addition to shuttle service, your stay at the Lodge includes unlimited access to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool for the world’s best geothermal soaking, as well as use of the resort’s new Sopris Splash Zone—a family-friendly area that features a fast-moving adventure river ride, wading pools and a splash-pad-turned-show fountain.

In the fall, Sopris Splash Zone will be open on weekends, weather permitting. Your Lodge stay also includes a full, hot breakfast each morning at the Grill (the resort’s poolside restaurant), plus discounted admission to the Athletic Club, a premium fitness center with upscale facilities and pool access. For added relaxation, book a massage or body treatment at the award-winning Spa of the Rockies.

No Car, No Problem

A vehicle-less vacation in Glenwood Springs is no problem for visitors to Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. A pedestrian bridge is just steps away from the Lodge and spans the Colorado River connecting the resort with downtown Glenwood Springs. As you traverse the bridge, enjoy some of Glenwood’s most impressive vistas, including a long-view of the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool with the Grand Fountain in the foreground, as well as a bird-eye view of Seventh Street—known as “restaurant row.”

Here you’ll find a wide variety of choices to satisfy your appetite, from steak houses to taco joints; BBQ to craft beer. If you’re looking for evening entertainment, check out the happenings at Glenwood Vaudeville Revue, events at Bethel Plaza under the bridge and live music at the nearby restaurants and bars. Alternatively, with the Hot Springs Pool open until 10 p.m., you can soak and stargaze until it’s time to turn in for the night.

Timetable for Travel
